About Us

Hi, my name is Simone and I am a home baker, I have been baking for about 30yrs and I offer an array of home baked goods from cupcakes to biscuits and for all occasions, whether you are having a birthday party or celebrating your wedding day Gateaux Rouge is the right place for you as all my treats are baked with love.

I began baking in the kitchen with my mum and dad at a young age and quickly discovered a passion for it which has grown stronger every year, over the years I have put on many events to show off my bakes, but it wasn’t until 2019 when during my maternity with my second son that I made the decision to turn my passion into a new and exciting career.

Baking has always filled me with a lot of joy, I love starting with basic ingredients and making something delicious with it. If that isn’t enough to get the fire burning, I am then able to put on my creativity hat and start decorating all my bakes. I love seeing people’s faces when they receive their goods, but I love it when my customers enjoy the taste of my goods even more.

I am a home baker and most of my bakes are done solely by myself, however my sons who are 4 and 18 and my very patient partner are my biggest critics and often my bakes are adjusted based upon how well they have gone down in my house, so hopefully by the time they reach you they will be absolutely perfect.
